Dr. Raja Badrul Hisham is a Consultant Surgeon at the KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital who specialises in General and Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery. Graduated with honours from University of Liverpool, United Kingdom in Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery and completed his Masters of Surgery in UKM Kuala Lumpur.
Dr. Raja Badrul Hisham was actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students by providing training and supervision for the trainees in the sub speciality of Colorectal Surgery in Hospital Kuala Lumpur. He was also responsible for the teaching and progress of the UPM medical students during their surgical posting.
Amongst articles published by Dr. Raja Badrul Hisham were “Anorectalmeloma” in a young adult male”, published in 2003, and “Carcinoma of the rectum with ocular metastasis”, in 2004 and a few other publications which are still in progress. He received numerous achievements in academics such as scholarship for the Oxbridge program, United Kingdom in year the 1986, best candidate for MS surgery from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2003, awards for Best Presentations in 2007 Colorectal Conference and Young Researcher Award in GUT in 2008. He has special interest in Laparoscopy and is also a member of the bariatric team in the hospital. Up till today he has pursued more than 100 laparoscopic bariatric cases here in KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital.
