Biographical Sketch

Dr Sangeetha joined KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital in March 2014. She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians UK and Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists UK. She received her Oncology training in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. Post fellowship, Dr.Sangeetha worked at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London and received specialised training in the use of Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy and Stereotactic radiotherapy.

Upon her return to Malaysia in 2009 Dr  Sangeetha worked as a Consultant oncologists at hospital Tuanku Jaaffar, Sremban and Nilai Medical Centre.(formerly known as NCI Cancer Hospital). She also worked as a Senior Lecturer at International Medical University.

She has been involved in clinical research and in local community projects raising cancer awareness. She has a number of publications and has been invited to present at both national and international oncological and medical conferences. She has also contributed chapters in books in medical education.

Specialty Interests:

Her area of expertise in Clinical Oncology encompasses Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Palliative Care and Research. The major tumor sites of her interest are breast, gastro-intestinal, colorectal, head and neck, lung, uro-oncological and gynaecological cancers.
